Desert Dwellers are Strange

This week was a pretty fun one at that. The teaching this week wasn't all that exciting seeing as not much of it happened, but that is just fine. It seems like there are always weeks like this when you are doing missionary work. Every Saturday these past few weeks Will, who was my first baptism a little over a year ago, picks us up at 5:45 and we go mountain biking. This is usually really fun for us. We don't always go on the same trail, but they are all really good ones. This week when we got up I looked out the window, and this is what I saw.
Yeah that is a guy walking a goat down by the arroyo. I thought it was pretty interesting. Defiantly not something you see everyday, well if I woke up that early every day I might. So then we packed everything in Will's truck and hit the trail.

Elder Peart and I are still enjoying ourselves here. Trying to keep ourselves busy, which is never too hard to do in the city. We also had a good district meeting this week. It was all about our member missionary lessons (dinner messages), and how we can get more referrals out of that. Our Zone Leaders were there, so we decided to take a picture with them.

Well this week we got the wonderful opportunity to go sing with Jimmy and Terry, just like we do every week. These guys are crazy as I am sure that you could see. They love singing the hymns, even if they don't know the words to the songs. After we are done singing what they call the whole hymn book we read scriptures with them, and then have a prayer. Jimmy loves saying the prayer, and I love it when he does. I dunno if it's bad that I recorded his prayer but here is that.

On the way back from Singing with these two studs I somehow ran over a nail, and went thru both walls of my inner tube, so needless to say we had to walk home about two miles, which is never fun.

Week 2 with Elder Peart

Well this past week was a crazy one. After moving out of a moldy apartment we finally got to move into our new place. We of course did this on our p-day, so Elder Peart and I were running around town doing all sorts of crazies. We went bowling and thrift-store shopping, to find some new ties. The rest of the week was pretty normal with teaching people and zone conference. It was nice to get a feel of how my new area has been run.
